Who is Doodle, you ask? Doodle is one of the four lambs (sheep) who make up the McLamby family. He lives in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, and this is his blog. That's right; life from a lamb's point of view. Doodle, and his brother Snowball, were orphaned lambs and raised on bottles...first in the garage and backyard of their people ("Dad" and "Mom")...then out in the big field with their "Uncles" Rosebud and Shermy, two big Cheviot sheep who are also...er...pet sheep. Sometimes it's just fine for someone to have no other purpose in life but to live and be one of God's creatures. That's Doodle, Snowball, Rosebud, and Shermy. Welcome to their world!

Waste Not, But...

that does not always mean "want not."  I'm learning.
I always make sure there are no kibbles left in our trough.  I don't want to waste any.
There is a trash truck that drives around with a big sign on the side that says:  "You are throwing away £400 of food each year."  None of us in our family likes that sign.  WE do not waste food.  None of us, down to the smallest McLamby, wastes anything.  We are very frugal.  The big UK government thinks it knows everything (I've heard Mom talk like this)...but it doesn't.  And it sure doesn't know what life is like in our family!
Even as a small lamb (I'm not even a half year old yet!), I know that we should use carefully whatever God has given us.

And I know that a lot of poor little kids "waste not" but are still wanting.  We McLambies want to help them.  Will you help us help them?
Thank you!
Love,
Doodle and Co.
