Who is Doodle, you ask? Doodle is one of the four lambs (sheep) who make up the McLamby family. He lives in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, and this is his blog. That's right; life from a lamb's point of view. Doodle, and his brother Snowball, were orphaned lambs and raised on bottles...first in the garage and backyard of their people ("Dad" and "Mom")...then out in the big field with their "Uncles" Rosebud and Shermy, two big Cheviot sheep who are also...er...pet sheep. Sometimes it's just fine for someone to have no other purpose in life but to live and be one of God's creatures. That's Doodle, Snowball, Rosebud, and Shermy. Welcome to their world!

Chomping

We were, um, a little pushy when we were babies.  Everything was just so exciting!  We had to taste everything, and gnaw and chew.  Especially when were were teething.  Yes, even baby lambs have teething problems when our new little baby teeth are coming in.

You can see me gnawing on Mom's coat.  I sorta thought it was a baby lamb chewy thing.

Snowball is going to try some now.

When we were little, it was CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP on everything we could find.  We're a little more discerning now.  A little.  Okay, not too much.  The other day, Dad made me put down the stone I picked up.  And Snowball sometimes tries to eat slate tiles.  And sticks.  And bushes.  We both like bushes.  Leaves are good.  I have been known to chew on the car door.  And the hood ornament.  Okay, sometimes we try to eat metal door latches and gate chains.  And Mom's hair...but only if it's in a pony tail.  Plastic is nice and chewy.  But we don't eat coats anymore.  Well, rarely.  Sigh...
