Who is Doodle, you ask? Doodle is one of the four lambs (sheep) who make up the McLamby family. He lives in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, and this is his blog. That's right; life from a lamb's point of view. Doodle, and his brother Snowball, were orphaned lambs and raised on bottles...first in the garage and backyard of their people ("Dad" and "Mom")...then out in the big field with their "Uncles" Rosebud and Shermy, two big Cheviot sheep who are also...er...pet sheep. Sometimes it's just fine for someone to have no other purpose in life but to live and be one of God's creatures. That's Doodle, Snowball, Rosebud, and Shermy. Welcome to their world!

What Bush?

When we lived in the backyard...when we were little new babies...we chomped and gnawed and nibbled everything.  In the beginning, we really liked to chew plastic.  And rocks!  Picking up rocks and stones in our mouths was big fun!

But then we started to eat green things....

And we liked to eat all the leaves and things before we learned to eat grass.  We didn't ruminate right away, either...but pretty soon.  We figured it out.  And well...there was this really delectable, enticing bush in the backyard.  The leaves hung all the way to the ground, like a big, green, edible umbrella.

We tried to pretend to Mom and Dad that we weren't eating the bush.  But...I guess...well...we actually ate almost the whole bush.

It's okay, though.  Mom and Dad said the whole bush grew back.  I wonder when they're taking us back there to eat it again?  It sounds like the smorgasbord is open!!
