Who is Doodle, you ask? Doodle is one of the four lambs (sheep) who make up the McLamby family. He lives in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, and this is his blog. That's right; life from a lamb's point of view. Doodle, and his brother Snowball, were orphaned lambs and raised on bottles...first in the garage and backyard of their people ("Dad" and "Mom")...then out in the big field with their "Uncles" Rosebud and Shermy, two big Cheviot sheep who are also...er...pet sheep. Sometimes it's just fine for someone to have no other purpose in life but to live and be one of God's creatures. That's Doodle, Snowball, Rosebud, and Shermy. Welcome to their world!

The Little Narrow Place Gets Narrower

Hey!  Our little narrow place got a lot narrower one day.  I was not too sure about that.  Neither was Snowball.
***
Whaddya mean it has to be like this?  Why?  What did we ever do?  Mommy!!!!

Snowball was persistent in trying to find out why our little narrow place got so narrow it closed up.  And why was Mom inside with us?

Snowball went back to double check, and I thought I would try to explain to Mom why the narrow place was too narrow.

I even kicked her foot, just to make sure she was listening!

Mom didn't mind.  She scritched me instead.  Which is always a great comfort to us little lambs.

Then we heard the noise, and Mom explained that babies couldn't be outside while Dad was using a big loud thing.  The loud thing had a sharp end, and we had to stay away from it.

It's nice to know someone is looking out for us.  And even though we are much bigger Doodles and Snowballs now, Mom and Dad are still looking out for us!
