Who is Doodle, you ask? Doodle is one of the four lambs (sheep) who make up the McLamby family. He lives in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, and this is his blog. That's right; life from a lamb's point of view. Doodle, and his brother Snowball, were orphaned lambs and raised on bottles...first in the garage and backyard of their people ("Dad" and "Mom")...then out in the big field with their "Uncles" Rosebud and Shermy, two big Cheviot sheep who are also...er...pet sheep. Sometimes it's just fine for someone to have no other purpose in life but to live and be one of God's creatures. That's Doodle, Snowball, Rosebud, and Shermy. Welcome to their world!

Fond Farewells

Hi everyone!
It's been a long time since we Daily Doodled.
I guess sometimes life gets filled with other things.
All four McLambies are well - but we don't live together anymore. See this guy below? That's Snowball. He took a big dislike to Poor Ol' Bud, and wouldn't leave him alone. Baby Snowball! A Bruiser! And they said I was the Bruiser. HA!

So, now Snowball and I (Doodle) live in one field; and down on the other side of a big house (where Snowball can't see them), the Uncles live in another field. Dad says Rosebud is a lot happier now that he can live peacefully. Shermy has always been Bud's best friend, so the two old guys live in a quiet field by themselves. It has worked out fine, and everybody is happy.

Here's Uncle Shermy, here.

And there's ol' Uncle Bud - back before we were all separated.

And here I am:  DOODLE! Doing what I do best - eating everything! Oh, how I love to eat!

So, we'll go on in the care of our two shepherds - Mom and Dad. We get fed lots of kibbles (all year round), and hay (in the winter), and turnips, and leftover vegetables, and...TA DA...cookies (ALL YEAR ROUND), and go for walks, and get scritched, and just generally get spoiled. Each field has a house for us to go into when the weather is bad, and plenty of fresh water. Once a year, we have a big haircut and they take off our wool coats. Sometimes we have our feet done (no one likes this - not us, and not Mom and Dad).

It's a peaceful, quiet life for 4 wethers who got lucky and were adopted by Mom and Dad. Now we get to spend every day just being sheep, and living out our lives as God's creatures. I am a great big 4-year-old, and so is Snowball. Shermy is going to be 7 this year. And the Patriarch, Rosebud, is 9 years old!

Thanks, Mom and Dad!

Sometimes, Mom will put pictures of us and write about us on her own blog:

So, if you want to find out how we're doing, just check over there!

So long!
